ABOUT US
The word sentience means the capacity to feel, perceive or experience subjectively. We know that the key to performance isn't simply the tasks we undertake day to day. The way we feel, how we respond to experiences and our thoughts contribute to how we behaviour and therefore how we thrive, not just at work but across all areas of life.
I am Lucy Gleeson and I created Sentience Wellbeing to bring psychology and wellbeing to the work place to enable us to be at our best and to thrive in whatever industry we work in.
In my early career I worked as a lecturer, and taught within the higher education system for several years, before moving to a global pharmaceutical company where I held leadership positions in Learning & Development and Sales.
In all my years of work there has been a common thread - people and performance. I am fascinated to see how some people thrive and achieve extraordinary things while others seem stuck and unable to move forward. There are many individual facets that contribute to this difference but ultimately it is our own wellbeing and mindset that can hold us back.
My passion for personal growth, wellbeing, and human potential led to me to study for a Masters in Integrative Psychotherapy. I now use this as the base for my work with organisations, teams and individuals, applying psychological theories and concepts as well as leadership models to create links between wellbeing and performance.
I also has a private psychotherapy practice in Cookham, Berkshire.
